GarnettA little about Garnett

Garnett Salmon has been pleasing audiences with his musical genius since he was a teen. Before turning 20, he had recorded songs for radio play, performed in various venues throughout Jamaica, and toured actively in the Caribbean.

At age 19, he was the youngest musician from his home-town of Mandeville, Jamaica to be featured on a live-air radio program. Garnett’s musical venture began at his local church where he played weekly. Soon after, his fan base started growing and the demand for his band, Gospel Proclaimers was increasing in the community. Later he moved on to play with the 5:15 band which was based in Kingston, Jamaica, focusing on classic standards and smooth jazz. Through his musical journey, Garnett has shared the stage, and played for, many renowned recording artists such as Papa San, Winsome Benjamin, Donnie McClurkin, Marvin Sapp, Fanton Mojah, Nanco, Slightly Stoopid, Pam Hall, Sly and Robbie, among many others.

Now that Garnett calls Florida home, he’s been keeping busy performing for various venues in Florida, as well as other states. Due to his strong musical background, his talent has equipped him to be quite versatile in many genres including; Gospel, Reggae, smooth Jazz, R & B, and Funk to name a few. No matter what the occasion, Garnett can deliver a performance marked by zeal, character, and enjoyment. Despite being a full-time student currently in the process of acquiring a Master of Business Administration-Finance (MBA), a very flexible young man, Garnett is now able to provide a host of musical services to his clients in a professional manner and with a smile.
